After a relatively warm start of September these clouds heralded the infusion of colder air which mixed with the realtively warm air. The result was these towering cumulo nimbus clouds which brought rain and cooler temps.

I just came back from a lesser known City of Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks area and saw this beauty! I hadn't seen a Great Horned Owl in the area for at least 4 years so I was delighted. BTW, don't ask where please. 12-29-2023
