What a great site! I look forward to lots of action here and see this as a way to keep folks informed and connected with other local writers. To begin, make a note to yourselves to check out the lively poetry reading at Forza Coffee House at 104th and Federal, Third Thursdays at 7:00. This month's feature is Rand Hunsbury (SP?) and will, as always, include an open mike portion. Cost: a cup of Forza's great coffee.

Dear Karen, WELCOME! Very excited to have you join the group. Thank you for the information on the poetry reading; looks like that is this Thursday. I am not sure if I can make this one but I am going to try! I love coffee and poetry. I have written many poems.

Is this forum for poets only? I write stories in cowboy prose, screenplays in Hollywoodspeak, and ransom notes in blood (most profit).

Hello Brian, This forum is not exclusive, it is for anyone who is a writer. What is Hollywoodspeak? I mentioned before that I am rewriting an old manuscript that I wrote years ago and much of the time I spend writing I feel it would be great to have insight from another perspective that isn't invested in the work like I am. I think that what I would ultimately like to see happen, especially when this group grows, is a physical meeting to occur where we can all get together over coffee and read some excerpts from our creations aloud for audience reaction and input. I would like to hear excerpts from your works.
