Boulder Burning: A portrait of the Fourmile Canyon Fire

Last night on my way home home from an amazing shoot with Troy and Jamie I was overpowered to create an image from the fire that was burning up Fourmile Canyon just west of Boulder. I love these bursts of creativity and I had this clear vision with the fire and smoke behind the the iconic Flatirons of Boulder. This is beauty and power in its purest form, it is also something to fear and respect! I love the colors and hint of the Flatirons in the shadows.

I have friends and friends with family that are in limbo from this with homes at risk. I hope everyone is safe and that the brave firefighters get this contained with out any more lose of life or property. Now is the time to do your best rain dance!
