Kids 'squeal' over Longmont construction company's playhouse design

Longmont’s Krische Construction builds more than just large-scale projects, such as this firehouse playhouse they designed and built for Rocky Mountain Communities. RMC, a provider of attractive and affordable communities to working people, recently wrapped up its inaugural Playhouse Project. From July 15-26, five featured playhouses were displayed at the Children’s Museum Plaza, each one thoughtfully designed and built by sponsoring architects and builders using reusable and sustainable materials. To raise funds for RMC, the playhouses were auctioned off at an event on July 26 at the Children’s Museum of Denver. Krische Construction’s firehouse playhouse was auctioned off for $2,500, the highest price of all five entries. Bidding was won by the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, who then donated the playhouse back to RMC for use in its Townview Community, 16th and Hooker in Denver. The playhouse was delivered on Monday, and ever since, Townview’s 137 children, all under the age of 12, have been “squealing” with excitement.
