St. Louis 1st Graders Prepare Palms

1st graders at St. Louis Catholic School prepared palms for Shrove Tuesday (2/16), when they'll be burned, then sifted and prepared to be used for Ash Wednesday Masses on Wed., Feb. 17. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. For the last month, St. Louis parishioners were asked to bring in their old, dried-out palms from last year's Palm Sunday.
