ST. LOUIS CATHOLIC PARISH GIRL SCOUTS ASSEMBLE 424 EASTER BASKETS FOR LOCAL KIDS IN NEED!

Girl Scouts from the many troops at St. Louis Catholic Parish in Louisville gave up an afternoon yesterday to help local children have an extra-special Easter. They stuffed a record-breaking 424 Easter baskets, which will be given to local children in need through the Sister Carmen Center.

For weeks St. Louis parishioners, school children, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Sister Carmen Center donated toys, stuffed animals, books and candy to fill the Easter baskets. The American Legion in Louisville once again kindly donated their hall for the huge job of storing, sorting, and filling all those colorful baskets.

6th grade troop co-leader Nellie McConville organized the event, which the girls really seem to enjoy. There were lots of other moms, dads, and fellow troop leaders who worked hard to make it happen, too. They, and the girls, did a wonderful job.
