Dawson Middle Schoolers Go 1-2 In Boulder Optimist Oratorical

Dawson School seventh graders Ryan Lupberger (far right) and David Winsor (both of Boulder) finished 1-2 in a field of 15 students in the Optimist International's annual oratorical contest on the theme "For me, optimism is" on April 4 at Valmont Presbyterian which was sponsored by the Boulder Optimist Clubs. Lupberger and Winsor are pictured here Boulder Optimist President Madge Wright and former oratorical winner, and Dawson alum, Alex Gury. Other participants included Abby Lawson, Starson Brittain, Kaia Mann, Linh Nguyen, Aimee Anderson, Tate Moore, Kate Fitzgerrell, Wynn Scott, Sophie Gordon, Larkin Barron, Rachel Clair and Tucker Van Leuwen Hall.
