Not a pro but retired and loving it!  I've been photographing in Colorado since 1976 and just love it here.  The biggest tip is to work with what you love to photograph best.  Go online to Youtube to get info regarding your specific camera and learn the tools of the trade to get the most out of your equipment.  Then you should get some processing programs like Lightroom to help learn how to get the most from your photo-files.  And then shoot, shoot ,shoot!  Good luck!
