This 3.5' diameter Cottonwood tree blew over Friday night on the 600 block of Arapahoe Ave, adjacent to the bike path. Police closed a section of the path while City Emergency services, utilities and private contractors secured then winched the mamoth tree, which spanned the creek, to the north side where it could be cut up. The process took approximately 4 hours.

Police also stopped any upstream kayaks from descending to the blocked section of the creek.
