Owl through the leaves
I was able to sneak up on this beauty by hiding behind a grove of cottonwood trees and shot through the leaves. This is when he finally saw me! Piercing!! East Boulder 7-7-2021

Wow, just saw this! This was taken on the White Rocks trail in Boulder. 600 mm lens which softened the grass around a post he was standing on and used a narrow depth of field to select him out - f/6.5. Not professional; just avid!
