Nicely composed!
Thank you!
My only comment is that the clouds are a bit blown out. What camera are you using? Are you using any photo programs like Photoshop or PhotoSuite? They really help in dealing with the range of light we have in Colorado which can leave either the shadows or highlights completely gone.
Oh....this is just my little point and shoot Canon Powershot! That's whatt I've been using until I got a Canon Rebel T2i for Christmas, which I'm still figuring out! I don't have Potoshop! I adjust a tiny bit sometimes what I can with just iPhoto:-)
I just read up on the T2i and it sounds like a great camera. It offers Bracketing and exposure compensation. Bracketing allows you to take 3 or more shots of the same scene; one over exposed for the shadows, one normal as per the metered value and one under exposed to preserve the highlight areas like clouds and snow. You'd then need a program that would take the 3 shots and combine them into one giving you the ability to retrieve the highlights and the shadow information. This is way useful in landscape photography especially in Colorado. Check out the website for "HDR Expose" which is an easy way to get into it. Have fun with your new camera!
Hi again Ani, check out "root cellar" I just up loaded. The sun is setting behind the cellar yet I'm able to get good tone and texture and controllable light values for the structure and for the clouds behind. Normally you'd get one or the other.
I'll check it all out....thanks, Jack!
