The Gilbert F. White Memorial Flood Height Marker still stands tall after the devastating September 12, 2013 One Hundred-year Flood in Boulder. If not for the brilliant vision and genius of "the father of floodplain management," the city of Boulder wouldn't have faired nearly as well from the flash flood which wreaked havoc throughout Boulder County.
