About Me (optional):: My name is Jade Martin and I am eight years old. This weekend, my mom took me and my little sister to the Democratic State Convention in Colorado Springs. I felt really special because we were the only kids there. I thought I would be bored, but actually I learned a lot. With all the energy in the room, my heart started to pump fast and I felt like a part of everyone there. Being at the convention, I saw tons of people who cared about the same things. I realized how much more powerful we are when we work together.

Being a kid my age is wonderful because there is so much to learn. I’m growing up when a woman is running for president of the United States and to me, it’s not really a big deal. Hillary is showing us that no matter how big or small we are, we can be anything we want. We can win not just any game, but the World Series.

Hillary believes in herself, and she won’t give up. No one can tell us what to do or what not to do. If we give up, we will lose for sure. We can win only if we keep on going.

Hillary is teaching us to help the country too. It is not just about her, it is all of us. We are all together. We need to try and make things better for everyone, even if we never meet them, because we are all part of one big family. Caring about all people and helping them is the most important thing we can do.
