In 1986. she radically and spontaneously awakened without practices or teachers. She met her husband, Sundance Burke, author of Free Spirit: A Guide to Enlightened Being in 1988. In 1982, through happenstance alone he awakened with Satoshi (Osho) and Sunyata named the Rare Born Mystic by his friend Ramana Maharshi, one of the most revered sages of modern day India. For 12 long years they integated the profound realization.In 1998, they became close friends with Eckhart Tolle. When Power of Now, they were invited to travel with him for two months on his first Power of Now Tour. Subsequently, he invited them to share the teachings. Since 1999, they have been traveling to share the message of conscious freedom and causeless joy in the form of Advaita Satsang.In 2004, Eckhart encouraged them to write Awake Joy by Katie Davis and Free Spirit by Sundance Burke.They travel to Boulder from Maui twice a year to offer Advaita Satsang.
