Motus Theater creates original theater to facilitate dialogue on critical issues of our time, leveraging the power of art to build alliances across diverse segments of our community and country. Motus Theater’s JustUs national tour brings the powerful monologues of formerly incarcerated people to District Attys across America, advocating for criminal legal reform. The regional tour of TRANSformative Stories from transgender and nonbinary leaders challenges harmful and misleading anti-LGBTQIA rhetoric and policies. Since 2018, the multimedia UndocuAmerica project interrupts dehumanizing portrayals of immigrants by encouraging thoughtful engagement on the challenges facing the undocumented community and the assets immigrants bring to our country.
