My wife Sheryl and I just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary on August 17th with a nice quiet night out alone.

We have three 'energetic' children (ages 9,7,and 4) so you can see why a nice, quiet evening out is a present just by itself.

We moved to Colorado from NY in 2000 and, speaking for myself, I've been been learning to slow down and enjoy it ever since.. :-) Occassionally I make a breakthrough such as I just recently went to the Boulder Reservior with the kids to swim and play. That's a big accomplishment because in NY, the resevior is off-limits to swimmingand is patrolled regularly by State Troopers so going to swim, boat, and play in the area's water supply is not something that comes natural for me.. ( What can I say? Old habits die hard.. )
