We are all in this together!
JOIN US to give voice to a common commitment to help one another through these difficult times and encourage hope for the future.
DATE & TIME Thursday, April 23, at Noon
This is an opportunity for all sectors of the Boulder community to acknowledge the current pervasive challenges and our deep concerns for homelessness, hunger, job and home loss, business closure as well as other impacts.
WALK ROUTE Participants in the Walk will meet at the band shell in the park at the corner of Canyon and Broadway at noon, walk up Broadway to the Mall at Pearl and walk east and gather at the Court House lawn
SPONSORED BY (inspired by Rabbi Zalman) Restoring the Soul: Faith and Community Partnerships and the Buddhist Coalition have organized this Walk
WALK AND SPEAKERS SCHEDULE
1. Walkers meet at noon at the band shell, carry a sign identifying your organization,
congregation, business, etc. We will also distribute CommUNITY Walk signs.
2. People can join the Walk anywhere along the way or at the courthouse lawn.
3. 12:15 Tania Leontov, Director, introduces Restoring the Soul: Faith and Community Partnerships and the idea behind the Walk
4. Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi speaks
5. Commissioner Ben Perlman speaks
6. Prescott Knock, Director, Buddhist Coalition, wraps up and invites you to a second CommUNITY event 5pm - Common ground- Strong Roots for CommUNITY Growth. Rally and Resource Fair, Farrand Field at CU. Speakers: Julia Butterfly Hill, Hunter Lovins and Jeff Hohensee, Richard Dart, Kipp Nash
