THE ART UNDERGROUND UNVEILS HOLIDAY ART PROGRAMS

The Art Underground located at 901 Front St. in Historic Downtown Louisville, will be holding its 1st Annual Holiday Gift Sale and Make-A-Gift Event on Saturday, December 6th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 303-229-1127 for more information or visit www.theartunderground.org.

“This unique celebration of art will display a wide variety of holiday treasures for sale by local artisans,” says Lori Jones, Founder and Executive Director of The Art Underground. “In addition, we will offer Make-A-Gift where kids and youth of all ages can create fantastic crafts to give as gifts for family and friends. They can be taken home wrapped and ready to give!”

Another special holiday class offering will be Holiday Woodcarving on December 14 from
1-4 p.m. at The Art Underground. Instructed by European-trained woodcarver, Joseph Sikora, adults and high school students will learn to design, carve and paint wooden holiday tree ornaments.

Online registration for Winter/Spring Classes will begin December 10. There will be many new and exciting opportunities to choose from in addition to a full slate of dance classes: full art enrichment days for preschoolers, The Aristocrats musical production for 2nd-5th graders, Arts Sampler and Popcorn Theatre for 6-10 year-olds, and Middle School acting, art, photography and film classes. A Friday Middle School Arts Punch Card Program will highlight three rooms of activity including filming, photo editing, hip hop, improv, juggling and more to keep young teens in tune with the arts. The Art Underground is a non-profit organization located in Historic Downtown Louisville that offers dance, theatre, music, photography, film and visual arts classes for all ages. Founded in 2007 by concerned parents and community leaders, The Art Underground also hosts art galleries/exhibitions and other events that promote opportunities for patrons and artists to connect and support a growing arts community in East Boulder County.
