After almost 40 years with the same carpet, the Molly Brown House is replacing the Karastan Multicolor Panel Kirman with
the same exact carpet. With an average of 40,000 visitors a year, the carpet at the Molly Brown House gets a lot of use, especially from schoolchildren visiting the historic home. The Karastan carpet has worn so well that they have chosen the same carpet to replace it.Howard Lorton Galleries provided the carpet both times, first in 1971 when the house was first opened to the public, and again in 2009. Located just a few blocks away from the Molly Brown House, Howard Lorton Galleries was around in Molly Brown's day. Howard Lorton opened his fine furniture store in 1927 and Molly Brown died in 1932.Howard Lorton's is proud to be active in the Golden Triangle neighborhood, bringing beauty, style and comfort to homes around Colorado for over 80 years.
