USA Cycling Cyclocross Nationals in Boulder seeks Volunteers

In 2014, the USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships head to the cycling hotbed of the Front Range of Colorado. With an enthusiastic 'cross culture and a permanent course already in use at the Valmont Bike Park, the "People's Republic" should provide an exciting atmosphere for some hotly-contested races for Stars-and-Stripes jerseys.

You can be part of this historic event by volunteering now for the 2014 USAC CX Nationals , which will be held from January 8 to January 12,2014. Organizers are looking for volunteers to support all aspects of the event including at the Masters and Elite Courses, event media center, and the beer garden.  Shifts range from 3 hours to all day depending on the chosen opportunities. If you race Cyclo-cross or have watched it before, you know how fun it is.  If you are new to cyclo-cross then this is a great way to become involved.   It is the ultimate spectator sport:  with its incredible variety of terrain, obstacles and weather conditions and short course and race duration, cyclocross is not only the most spectator-friendly form of bike racing, it's an awesome spectacle for any sports fan. Fans, friends and family enjoy 30 to 60 minutes of constant, intense action-packed racing, with many opportunities to see their favorite racer from just one vantage point.  Once the gun goes off, fans witness a near-constant stream of racers battling each other and the race course.
