The Ponsford family would like to thank the Boulder Community for the wonderful outpouring of love and support for Clint in the wake of the tragic events of March 22nd. Clint lost his girlfriend Teri on this terrible day, and is trying to move forward as best he can after such a traumatic event.

Our family settled in Table Mesa in 1968. We have been fortunate to live in the shadow of the flatirons for these many decades. Our family was living the early years in the Boulder Valley when the Table Mesa King Soopers opened in 1976. We have been in the store countless times since. We were raised on what the store provided, both in nourishment and in connection. Clint was marking his 33rd year of service at the store in this year; while Teri reached her 30-year anniversary in 2020.

We would like to specifically thank King Soopers management and fellow employees, the Boulder Police and Fire Departments, the District Attorney’s office, Victim’s Advocacy, and all first responders. We are grateful to The University of Colorado, The Red Cross, Mental Health Partners, Magellan Health, the Mount Hope Lutheran Church Pastor and congregation, University Bicycles, all of our wonderful neighbors and friends, everyone who donated to Clint's GoFundMe, the kind folks at the Boulder Strong Resource Center, and of course the Hope Therapy Dogs!

Our family offers our deepest sympathies to all of the families impacted by this event. We believe that a person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds - and through us, they live on. May you find comfort and peace that you seek and may the soul of your loved one rest in peace.

Finally, we would like to offer a special message of appreciation to the Whittington family. We were truly blessed with the time we were able to spend with your wonderful daughter Teri. She touched all of our lives, and made our family better. We mourn with you and stand with you as one family; and humbly offer our love and respect.

May we never forget the victims, and may we all remain BoulderStrong.

P.S.  I know there are some that we have forgotten to mention above, so for anyone we have missed, thank you!!!

P.P.S for those kind neighbors who anonymously picked up the tab for us (twice now!) in local Restaurants, God Bless you, you are truly wonderful people. Acts of kindness like this really matter, and have helped us in the healing process.
