Premier Mortgage Group Donates $1,200 and 7,753 Pounds of Pumpkins to Community Food Share

Boulder, Colo. – Nov. 2, 2021 – Premier Mortgage Group (PMG), a division of Cherry Creek Mortgage, announced today that it has made a donation of $1,200 and 7,753 pounds of pumpkins to Community Food Share, a local non-profit organization. The donation was made possible through PMG’s annual client and partner appreciation event, Pumpkin Fest.

First held 24 years ago, Pumpkin Fest takes place at PMG Division Manager Melanie Nygren’s farm in Longmont. Premier Mortgage Group partners and clients are invited to enjoy fall activities including hayrides, corn mazes, face painting, and picking pumpkins grown on the farm. Following this year’s event, the leftover pumpkins were picked by volunteers and transported to Community Food Share to be given away to underserved members of the community.

Community Food Share is a food bank fighting hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties by providing access to fresh, nutritious food through local partners and its onsite and mobile pantries. The pumpkins donated by PMG were brought to the non-profit’s onsite food pantry and are available for families to bring home to use as food or decoration.

“Food insecurity in our communities has risen significantly since the beginning of the pandemic, said Community Food Share’s Chief Development Officer Dina Coates. “It would be impossible to do the work we do without the continued support of individuals and community businesses like Premier Mortgage Group. We are so grateful for the in-kind gift of over 7,000 pounds of pumpkins plus a cash donation that will provide over $6,000 worth of groceries back into our community.”
