ILLEGAL PETE’S AND SCHOOL LAUNCH CLICKERS FOR QUESO

April 23, 2019 — Boulder based strategy and creative consultancy — School — announces a partnership with famed-burrito chain Illegal Pete’s aimed to help build schools around the globe.

The two Boulder-based businesses are coming together to collect CU classroom clickers from thousands of graduating seniors during their last two weeks at the university. The clickers will be collected exclusively at the Illegal Pete’s “The Hill” location starting this Monday, April 29th. When CU students drop their clickers off, they will get a coupon for a free chips and queso.

The clickers collected will be refurbished and sold to incoming CU freshman for 50% off retail price. All of the proceeds will go to Pencils of Promise, an organization that builds schools all across the globe so to empower youth with education.

“This is our fifth year on the CU Clicker Drive, and we could not be me more excited partnering with the best burrito in town,” says says Ben Rindels, who heads up the Clickers For Queso project for School. “We are always looking for ways to help Pencils of Promise build more schools. Getting Pete’s in the mix is a welcomed development.”

CU students can drop their clickers off at the Illegal Pete’s Hill location (1124 13th St, Boulder, CO 80302) Monday April 29 to May 8, and receive a free chips and queso. Incoming freshmen will have a chance to purchase those refurbished clickers at deep discount during the first week of the Fall 2019 semester.
