Carla Flanhofer, Wins State & National DAR Outstanding Teacher of American History Awards!

The Indian Peaks Chapter NSDAR of Louisville, CO is privileged to announce that their nominee, Carla Flanhofer, was selected in November 2019 as the Colorado State Society, NSDAR first place winner in the 2020 Outstanding Teacher of American History Contest sponsored by the Historian General, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution.

Ms. Flanhofer's dossier was then forwarded to the Historian General NSDAR as Colorado's entry in the National Outstanding Teacher of the American History Contest. She was notified in March 2020 by Laura McCrillis Kessler, Historian General, NSDAR, that she was awarded second place in the national contest.

Carla Flanhofer's national award appeared in the NSDAR Congress Herald, Vol. 1, Issue 3, June 26th, 2020 issue during the NSDAR Continental Congress held virtually from Washington D.C. June 23rd-28th. She will be presented with awards at the Colorado State Society, NSDAR Conference Awards & Honors Luncheon on October 31st, 2020, as the April date was postponed due to COVID closures.

We salute this Colorado Teacher on her exemplary achievements as a High School Social Studies Teacher at Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette, CO and congratulate her for these prestigious awards!
