Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story Sets the Stage For The Final Season 

Boulder, Colorado. Dec 2, 2022 – Experience the joys of The Boulder Dinner Theater’s performance of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story for the very last time. 

As they gear up to close the curtain for good, The Boulder Dinner Theater wanted to start their last season with a show that embodies music and performance itself. Following the short yet historic life of Buddy Holly, the impact he had on Rock and Roll, as well as the modern music we hear today, is made crystal clear by this moving performance. 

This Tony Award-winning jukebox musical will make you nostalgic for Rock and Roll's early days. Without Buddy Holly, Rock legends like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones might never have found their sound. The Boulder Dinner Theaters' live performance captures the emotion and thrill Buddy must have felt when he discovered his own musical talents.       

“When we first did this show in 2015 it immediately became an audience favorite and we could not be happier to be able to bring it back for our final season,” said Seamus McDonough, Producing Artistic Director of The Boulder Dinner Theater. 

Brett Ambler, the actor that plays Buddy Holly, delivers this role with an extraordinary likeness to Buddy himself. Ambler captures the excitement and energy Buddy had on stage when he sings and plays the guitar live. 

The Boulder Dinner Theater has proudly brought the Boulder area shows since 1977. This small playhouse has delivered Broadway-worthy performances and given the audience a delectable dining experience. Over the years The Boulder Dinner Theater has been a staple of the community. It will always be remembered as a theater that brought great art and beauty to every performance.
