Children’s StoryTime Ballet - Creativity and growth for 3 & 4 year olds

In this delightful summer adaptation of our Children’s Ballet program, young students will explore the elements of a beloved story through movement.

In the first 45 minutes of class, the dancers will experience a ballet class of the highest quality – learning correct ballet terminology and technique specifically designed to target young, curious minds. Utilizing imagery and creative exploration, these young dancers will learn about musicality, space/time/energy, and performative qualities.

In the last 15 minutes, teachers will break down the elements of a story. They will learn about the characters, the setting, the plot, the conflict, and the resolution. From this exploration, the class will create a dance which will be performed for family and friends at the conclusion of the 6-week session.

StoryTime Ballet is a 6 week program and runs June 15 – July 25, 2020. All summer 2020 classes will be held either in-person at CCD or virtually through Zoom.

Saturdays – 9am-10am – Ballet Technique/StoryTime Creation – At CCD or Via Zoom
