We are featuring two of Boulder’s finest: Grammy-winning violinist of the Takács String Quartet, Edward Dusinberre, in the world premiere of Jeffrey Nytch's Violin Concerto: Costa Concordia. This piece was inspired by the story of a Hungarian violinist who saved many passengers on the ill-fated ship but perished trying to retrieve his violin, his voice. Also programmed is Béla Bartók's folk-inspired Divertimento for String Orchestra.
Join Pro Musica’s Music Director and Conductor, Cynthia Katsarelis, for a free pre-concert talk at 6:30 pm.
