Scholarships Awarded to Five College Students

Gordon and Grace Gamm help students succeed through the "I Have a Dream" Foundation

Boulder attorney Gordon Gamm and his wife Grace awarded five students, who are Dreamers in the "I Have a Dream" Foundation of Boulder County, scholarships to help pay for costs associated with the colleges they are attending. Gamm hosted a reception at his house to present the $2000 scholarships to Savannah Ottero and Jazmin Pando attending the University of Colorado, Diana Morris attending Metropolitan State College, David Meza attending the University of Denver, and Elizabeth Vasquez attending Front Range Community College.
"Thanks to the tremendous donations from the Gamm's, Dreamers are able to continue the success they experienced in high school on the college level," said Lori Canova, "I Have a Dream" Chief Executive Officer. "These scholarships are an excellent incentive for Dreamers to enter and complete college."
This year marks the fourth year that Gamm has provided scholarships to Dreamers. He also provides funding to "I Have a Dream" to help support the College Coordinator AmeriCorps position, which helps Dreamers graduate from college.

Since 1990, the "I Have a Dream"® Foundation of Boulder County has helped 400 children from low-income areas achieve their education and career goals by providing long-term personal and academic support, tutoring, mentoring and four-year tuition-assistance scholarships to each graduating student. The program doubled expected graduation rates for its first three graduating classes of students, and awards over $90,000 in scholarships each year.
