Children of the American Revolution members participated in a conservation project sponsored by Wetlands Restoration Volunteers, “WRV”.  Native seeds are a crucial part of the restoration of public lands to their natural habitat.  Invasive grasses, flowers and other plants crowd out native species which hinder the natural life cycle of our ecosystems. Arapahoe Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution sponsored an American History Essay Contest.  The topic, in honor of the 275th anniversary of the birth of Paul Revere, was for the students to write an essay in the first person pretending to be Paul Revere writing his memoirs and relating the various accomplishments he wanted to be remembered in the anals of American History.
