The Family Learning Center Launches its Holiday Toy Drive
and Adopt-a-Family Gift Giving Drive

Boulder, Colo., December 3, 2008 - The Family Learning Center, a Boulder non-profit dedicated to encouraging successful lifelong learning and economic self-sufficiency for families of diverse cultures and limited incomes, is hosting a holiday toy drive and an adopt-a-family gift giving drive to support low-income families in Boulder this holiday season.

• The Holiday Toy Drive will run until Wednesday, Dec. 23, and seeks new, unwrapped toys for children 2 to 14 years. Toys can be dropped off from 8:30 am-4 pm, Monday-Friday at the Family Learning Center, 164 34th Street, Boulder, CO 80301.

• The Adopt-a-Family Gift Giving Drive helps individuals in the community help low-income families and children this holiday season. The Family Learning Center has more than 200 families in need, ranging from a single parent with one child, to two-parent families with six or more children. Adopting families usually provide a grocery gift card and toys or clothing for each child in the family. Larger familes can be adopted by church groups or one or more families.
