Current Lyons Community Foundation board member as of 2013.
Cathleen "Chrystal" DeCoster feels lucky to have landed three years ago in Lyons, aka "the best little town in the universe." An Ohio native, Chrystal has lived all over the country & abroad with her husband of 34 years, David, & their two adult children, Jax & Dylan. She earned degrees/certificates through Stephens College, University of Louisville & University of Washington in art, equestrian science, education, & computer graphics, with minors in journalism, creative writing & psychology. Building relationships with people from all walks of life is one perk from her eclectic professional background in horse training, advertising, printing, publications, & education. She loves antiques, learning something new everyday, writing, working at Lyons Mercantile, painting, & exploring CO with David & their pups, Tatanka and Lillian.
