Amy Klamm, Lafayette Toastmaster of the Year, Gives Bee Talks at the Butterfly Pavilion
Amy Klamm, club president and 2008 club toastmaster of the year of the Lafayette Toastmasters Club, “Speak with Ease”, recently gave a series of speeches on bees and their navigational systems at the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, Colorado. Amy was invited to give her speeches during July and August as part of the Pavilion’s “Pollination Nation” summer event.
Using a dramatic storytelling style, Amy explained from the point of view of a bee, how bees communicate and navigate from the hive to find flowers from which to extract pollen and nectar. Amy’s speech also dealt with the mysterious colony collapse problem that is currently a worldwide environmental concern.
“Speak with Ease” is the Lafayette toastmasters club that meets every Wednesday night from 6:45pm till 8:30pm at the Lafayette Baha’i Center, 1312 Centaur Village Drive. Drop in guests are always welcome. If you would like more information about the club, please contact Sarah Gjestvang at 303-919-9785.
